Hey folks,
LGBT stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender.
Who are we?
We are a group of students who either identify as members of the LGBT communities, trying to figure out whether we are LGBT, or are straight allies of the communities.
What do we do?
We meet up both on campus and off campus in order to provides a friendly social network for LGBT students and their straight friends. We also attend USI’s Pink Training in October.
Where are we?
Everywhere! In every faculty, in every course. LGBT students study a wide variety of subject areas, not just art! Conservative statistics predict that out of any group of people about 1 in 10 will, at some point in their life, identify as Lesbian, Gay or Bisexual. Just because you’re not aware of LGBT students in your class doesn’t mean that they’re not there! Not all members of the LGBT communities are out or obviously LGBT.
